Introducing President George Magee - 2019/20 Rotary Year
Rotary started in Chicago in 1905 by 4 businessmen: Paul Harris; Gustavus Lojr; Hiram Shorey and Silvestver Shiele.
Their aim initially was to enhance their business relationships, but soon, their aim progressed to include doing good deeds in the community and helping those less fortunate.
Rotarians have been using the 4-Way Test as a practical yardstick in their business, community and personal affairs.
“Of the things we think, say or do”
• Is it the Truth?
• Is it Fair to all concerned?
• Will it build Goodwill and Better Friendships?
• Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?
Rotary is now the largest service club in the World with 1.2 million members in 200+ countries. SA has around 40 clubs with over 1,000 members with District 9500 covering most of SA and half of Northern Territory.
