Engravers to the Rescue
Our Club website recently attracted contact from Carers SA looking for assistance with engraving 40 sets of identification details onto the back of brand new Tablets and iPads they had purchased for carers in their community.
Carers SA had won a grant from Senior Information Services to provide a digital literacy training programme for older family carers across 3 regions of South Australia (Playford; Western Metro - Port Adelaide and Northern Country - Port Augusta).
These will be used to assist older carers to make their first steps into the digital world to access information specific for carers, those they care for and to stay connected with family / friends and support networks.
THANK YOU to Club Member Peter Greeneklee who headed out to Carers SA to assist with the engraving.
Peter was sitting in Carers SA for about 3 hours engraving away. Which was immediately followed by a phone call of praise from Marianne to President Bill to say how grateful she was for Rotary Adelaide West's help and in particular Peter for his outstanding work.
It was lovely for Rotary to partner with Carers SA, assisting them with their exciting project.
