Katron Creative Places in Top International Award – 2020 Summit Creative Award®
Out of more than 4,100 submissions from 27 countries, our website's designer Katron Creative has been named a Bronze Winner in the 2020 Summit Creative Award competition for its creative work on development of www.RotaryAdelaideCentral.org.au
“It has been a privilege to assist Rotary Adelaide Central with building a strong and dynamic online presence,” says Katron Managing Director, Kat Lister. “To have our team’s creativity and technical skill acknowledged at the international level is an absolute honour.”
The Summit Creative Award recognises and celebrates the creative achievements of small and medium sized advertising agencies worldwide with annual billings under $30 million. Celebrating its 26th year, the Summit Creative Award has firmly established itself as the premier arbiter of creative excellence for firms of this size.
This year's panel of international Judges included professionals representing: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the United States.
Entries in 13 major categories were judged against a stringent set of standards. During its blind judging (the entering company names were withheld) the Board of Judges searched for and identified innovative and creative concepts, strong executions and user experience, and the ability to communicate and persuade.
“With vetted judges, tough judging criteria, two-phase blind judging processes, and strict bylaws limiting winners – only deserving entries receive recognition,” said Jocelyn Luciano, Managing Director for the Summit International Awards. “The creative work this year was outstanding.”
Established in 1982 as a traditional advertising and marketing firm, Katron Creative has evolved and expanded its services to include dynamic web development to service businesses, schools and not-for-profits, such as our Club. The firm’s emphasis on creative and distinctive marketing and communications is as strong as ever.
With our Club having been formed earlier this year through the merger of Adelaide West and Adelaide South, the Rotary Adelaide Central website is vital for raising the profile of and support for our many projects such as programs supporting those experiencing homelessness, youth driver awareness training, and the Birikut water project in Ethiopia.
President Glenda commented, “As Rotarians, Bill Marles and Katrina Lister of Katron Creative have long been generous with their vocational and professional skills on behalf of our Club. We were extremely pleased with our new website - it is welcoming, attractive and user friendly. It tells our Rotary story very well. That the website has attracted the imprimatur of international peers is a well-deserved recognition. Congratulations to Bill and Katrina and Katron Creative. And thank you!”
This year's Summit Creative Awards attracted entries from: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States.
