Sri Lanka Water Project

Rotary Adelaide West has worked with the Rotary Club of Athugalpura in Sri Lanka to provide funds to the village of Galhenkanda to enable them to dig new wells, and refurbish esisting wells / water tanks, plus build a new pump station to enable locals to acess more and fresh water.

This photo gallery gives you a feel for the enormity of the project run over a year, having commenced in 2009. The official opening and blessing you'll see in the photos below was on Sunday 8th August 2010 to a huge crowd.
