Ashleigh Lorraine
Ashleigh joined the Rotary Club of Adelaide West in October, 1990 and was President in 1992/93.
He has been a board member for most of his time in the Club, only relinquishing this role in 2011 when he took on the job of Chairman of the 2012/13 District 9500 Conference Committee for DGE Marie Dorrington.
Ashleigh and his wife Carolyn, have been especially active with the International aspects of the Club’s activities and have been counsellors to Ambassadorial scholars from Germany and USA and hosted a Youth Exchange Student from Finland.
Ashleigh was selected as Team Leader for the Group Study Exchange (GSE) to Germany in 2000 and served on the District GSE Committee for 7 years, including 5 years as secretary.
Ashleigh (along with Carolyn) has been a member of Rotary’s International Travel and Hosting Fellowship since 1993 and has hosted a number of Rotarian visitors from overseas. Both have been hosted a number of times by Rotarians whilst on their international travels.
Ashleigh has been recognised by the Club for his service with a Paul Harris Fellow and Sapphire pin.
Ashleigh and Carolyn have retired as owners of a property management company and have two sons and four grandchildren.
