6th Sept - So many visitors!

We were delighted to welcome 10 visitors to our weekly meeting - we just had to take a photo of them all !

President Sioux noted how great to was to see so many new people interested in learning more about what Rotary and Adelaide West Club achieves, plus to hear our wonderful guest speaker for the week - Jana Matthews.

All in attendance were very fortunate to hear Jana explain a programme she heads now, here in Adelaide, called Innovyz START - which is all about helping entrepreneurs succeed.

Jana spoke passionately about Innovyz START, a 3 month ‘accelerator’ program, supported by ANZ, designed to help start up businesses get going and, existing innovative businesses and entrepreneurs to grow.

At the end of the 3 month accelerator program, ten shortlisted companies were given the opportunity to pitch to investors and venture capitalists with the chance of receiving financial backing to continue their growth.

In mid-August 2012, 10 Innovyz participants who had completed the program pitched their business ventures to Local, National and International Investors, at the Adelaide Town Hall.

Jana heads this amazingly successful and innovative program. She explained how Innovys START works and shared some terrific case studies to illustrate terrific results now benefitting the South Australian economy, workforce and community.
